3 Easy ways to reduce your calorie intake
Reducing your food intake when initially losing weight can be tough. Here are three easy ways to eat less without tracking what you eat!
1) Slow down/take your time when eating
This is a big one! It may not be doable for everyone at every meal, but I encourage you to give it a try when you can. Make sure when you’re eating, sit down, take your time, and fully chew all your food. Doing this, you will feel more full after. If you like, you could set yourself a timer so you know you’re taking your time.
2) Eat more veggies
Using veggies to increase the volume of your meals is an easy way to get yourself feeling more full without the added calories! If you’re trying to lower your carb intake, take out a half portion of carbs and add in a full portion of veggies.
3) Eat until 80% full
What!? This may seem like a weird concept at first, but it works. The main goal of this step is not overeating or eating until you’re stuffed. You want to make sure you’re at a comfortable state. If you feel like you’re going to be stuffed if you finish your plate, then stop. Mainly you should start feeling hungry again about 3-4 hours after your meal. 80% will be different for everyone but make sure you eat until a comfortable state of fullness
